Busking and Morning Service

The Isle of Man Wind Orchestra will be busking this weekend on Saturday 16th at 10am outside Marks and Spencer in Regent Street on the Big Stage provided by Douglas Council.

On Sunday we are providing the music for the morning service at Cathedral Isle of Man from 10:30am until 12 noon.

The final busking session will be on Saturday 23rd December at 10am in Strand Street, Douglas.

Isle of Man Wind Orchestra Concert Sunday 24th September

The Isle of Man Wind Orchestra will be performing at the Villa Arcade on Sunday 24th September at 3pm in a concert supported by the Isle of Man Arts Council.

The Concert will mark the start of their 20th Anniversary season and to mark this event set out above is an early photo of the Orchestra performing at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.

The Concert will be preceded by an open rehearsal commencing at 10:30am at the Tower House on Castle Street Douglas and all musicians and old friends will be most welcome.

Change of Venue for Rehearsal on Sunday Morning 24th September

Due to poor planning the venue for the Old Friends Reunion and Rehearsal on Sunday 24th September has now had to be changed.

The rehearsal will now take place in the Atrium at the Tower House, Douglas entrance from either Castle Street or from Loch Promenade with parking available in Chester Street Car Park.

The times remain the same with arrival from 10am with the rehearsal starting at 10:30am. The rehearsal will last until about 12:30pm and lunch will be available in the Tower House either as a light snack or full Sunday Lunch.

If you wish to come along to the rehearsal and not play but just listen a range of snacks and drinks will be available from the cafe.

The venue for the afternoon concert is still the Villa Arcade at 3pm.
